My Adorable Niece

So I'm a proud Aunt! I don't have any kids of my own so I live through my younger brother. As a matter of fact his wife is around 4-5 months pregnant and I will be getting another niece! Anyway, I don't get to see my niece very often since I live 2 1/2 hours away but every time I see her her little face lights up, she will be 2 on Feb. 1st, and if anyone is holding her she says, "I want Tabitha!". I love it!! I can't wait 'til she is old enough to take to the baseball games (Tx. Rangers) and able to stay overnight.

For Christmas my parents and me & Kenny went in half to buy her a play kitchen(we're poor college students!). This was her 1st Christmas to really be able to open presents on her own and be excited! I was able to capture her 1st expression when she saw her kitchenette; you may need to click the pic to really see her excitement.

Since I've gotten my digital camera (on her 1st birthday) I can't stop taking pics of her especially since I can delete the ones I don't like. I just take picture after picture in case I catch a great moment ;o) I've always loved taking pictures. I've been thinking about taking a few photography classes but I'm sure I would have to invest in a more expensive camera. But we'll see. This is one of my favorites because you can see her reflection. She's a pretty good model..I just kept telling her to look out the window..hehe. I hope I haven't bored you with my bragging. But I do have the cutest niece ever!! :o)

Christmas Eve

So it's a tradition to celebrate Christmas with my in-law's on Christmas Eve. It's the same every year...eat turkey & dressing for lunch, around 6 PM open presents, and then re-heat lunch for dinner. And of course in between the nieces & nephew (ages around 7, 8, & 10) running around the house being wild & giving me a huge headache!! I love 'em, but they're not disciplined! They don't listen and when you tell them to do something they're a smartass. Kids like that are very annoying and makes me not want to have kids of my own. Of course you tell yourself my kids won't do that! But how do you know? I know they won't be exactly like that...I won't sit back and watch them do something wrong and wait for other people do the disciplining.

Besides the fact that the kids were getting on my nerves a little. I really did enjoy myself. The in-laws pulled out all their old photos, most I haven't seen before, and us adults sat around the table looking at old memories. I got to see a bunch of pictures of Kenny (my husband) as a child and I must say he was so damn cute! Now after what I said above I'm thinking about having kids again..lol. I want a little Kenny running around!! But that of course can wait until after we graduate college and get a good job.

The in-laws got me some perfume by Britney Spears which I think I will exchange for Ralph Lauren Glamourous just because it's my fave! They also got me a pretty keepsake box which contained lotion, body wash, soaps, & loofah which was wrapped in the box below:

I thought this was HILARIOUS!!! My mother-n-law is so sweet and innocent that to wrap my gift in this was just too funny. I'm pretty sure that she went to a store and asked if they had some empty boxes so she could wrap presents in and she didn't even read what was on the box! So I'm guessing this is a hint that I stink...perfume, lotions, soaps, all wrapped up in a douche box!! *LMAO*

Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year!

Enjoy what is our Christmas tree. I put it up and decorated it all by myself!

I know you don't really want to know any of these things about me but in the spirit of memes, here you go!

1. Egg nog or hot chocolate?

Hot chocolate and I love loads of marshmellows or whip cream!

2. Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree?

He wraps them of course! Unless it's a tricylce or train set :D

3. Colored lights on tree/house or white?

I like white on the tree and house. Though I have colored on our tree at the moment because they came with the tree.

4. Do you hang mistletoe?

Nope, I don't have to have a mistletoe to get kisses!

5. When do you put your decorations up?

The day after Thanksgiving.

6. What is your favorite holiday dish?

Dressing! I could eat a plate full of just dressing...my mom makes the best!

7. Favorite holiday memory as a child?

Helping Mom decorate the tree and helping Dad decorate the yard.

8. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa?

I honestly don't remember. I probably just figured it out.

9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve?

We celebrate Christmas on Christmas Eve at my In-laws and we open our presents.

10. How do you decorate your Christmas tree?

Lights, ornaments, tree topper....what else?

11. Snow! Love it or dread it?

I would love it if we ever got snow!! I'd love to move to Colorado!

12. Can you ice skate?

I've tried once when I was a teenager and hugged the wall the whole time...lol

13. Do you remember your favorite gift?

When I was 15 my parents got me a coloring book (Of course it wasn't the only gift) & I love to color so I'm flipping through the pages and every so often I would find a 20 dollar bill. They put 5 20's within the pages! Of course my younger brother got the same thing and tossed it to the side until he saw me pulling out cash :D

14. What's the most important thing about the Holidays for you?

Of course being with friends and family especially the ones you only see around the holidays. I also love to watch my nieces and nephews open their presents.

15. What is your favorite holiday dessert?

My mom's peach cobbler, cheesecake, & banana pudding.

Eating dinner with family, watching the football game (Go Cowboys!) and opening presents.

17. What tops your tree?

Right now it's Santa!

18. Which do you prefer giving or receiving?

Definately giving. I could buy multiple presents for one person if my husband let me or if we had enough money :o)

19. What is your favorite Christmas song?

O Holy Night

20. Candy canes! Yuck or yum?

They're alright, but too sticky! Kinda like Dale's face, but we all know that's not from candy canes :D

If you would like to be tagged just be tagged ;o)

4. Being healthy

5. Pop music

6. Families

7. Friends

9. Watching films

10. Heaven/God

A Letter to Santa & a Christmas Story

Dear Santa,

I have been a good girl.

It really wasn't my fault what happened at Dale's Christmas party. It was Michael who spiked the punch with too much alcohol. I can't help it if I drank 12 glasses. It was so good--smelled and tasted just like cinnamon.

I thought it was funny when I put Kenny's boxers on my head and danced the salsa on the chair while singing 'Dance, Dance'. I didn't mean to break Dale's radio and don't know why Dale would sue me for assault.

I don't remember calling Bobby's wife a fat cow--even though she looked like one with purple eye shadow and black lipstick!

And when I threw up on Misty's husband's legs, it was only because I ate too much of that hamburger.

After all that fun, I admit I was a little tired. So I fell asleep on my way home and drove my '55 Ford through my neighbor's living room. I don't think that was any reason for my neighbor to call me a ugly dog and have me arrested for indecent exposure!

So Santa...here I sit in my jail cell on Christmas Eve, all wide-eyed and crazy. And I'm really not to blame for any of this horrible stuff. Please bring me what I want the most--bail money!

Sincerely and always yours,
Tabitha (Really a nice girl!)

P.S. It's only 27 bucks!

I thought this was fun and I had to use my blog buddies ;o) You can do one of your own here.

And I know this post is stupid but I gotta say my life's a little boring at the moment...gotta find something to do now that school's out. I guess I could get a job...no, wait...fuck that it's Christmas time I would never get a break!! I have worked in retail for 3 yrs. I know how busy it gets and you couldn't imagine how bad it is on Christmas Eve I would ring up customers purchases and turn around and gift wrap them, the funny thing is that most customers on Christmas Eve are MEN go figure!! Why do you wait 'til the last possible minute?

I remember me and Kenny's first Christmas together. We had just gotten married the month before (Nov. 12th 1999) & we only dated 9 mths. before we got married so this was our very 1st Christmas. Anyways, on Christmas Eve we were going to exchange presents (we lived w/my parents at the time). And Kenny's like, "I gotta go, be right back" and he gets in the car and leaves. Comes back from Beall's with my gift!! He bought me a nice sweater, jeans, perfume, and a watch!! Too much stuff! And that's one thing that I notice about men buying gifts at the last possible minute and I mean 2 minutes 'til closing time on Christmas Eve, you end up spending more than you have to. Kenny probably spent 150 bucks on my present because he was trying to make up for waiting at the last minute to get it.

Two of the Three Loves of my Life

I guess this is kind of a pointless post, but I wanted to show you some pics of my 2 dogs. These 2 pics are of Hank Jennings Cash ;) he is the newest addition to the family and he is a little over 3 months old. I thought the pic of him yawning was hilarious!!
These 2 are of Baxter Von Dutch (of course Hank is also in the 2nd one). Baxter is a year and 3 months. I think they both look muscular in the 2nd pic.

Anyway, besides Kenny these 2 boys are the loves of my life ;) We don't have kids so they are very spoiled...so what! They are my companions and my best friends...and yes, I talk to them like they're babies!! I don't care if you think I'm retarded....I love my dogs.

The World's Oldest Person.....

...dies at age 116. Yes, I know this is old news. She died on Dec. 11th in a nursing home. But I was just thinking about the number of grandchildren she had which totals 560!! 560 grandchildren people!! And I was thinking about it because we're close to Christmas and could you imagine trying to buy Christmas presents for all them damn people?! That's probably a retarded question cause I woudn't do it (I was gonna throw in how retarded Dale is, but I'm not sure if I'm ready to go there just yet :o)...here's the article if your interested click here

Annoyed

I don't know why my profile says I'm a Pisces because I'm not! I'm an Aquarius. I don't really care, but it always seems like no matter what I do shit don't do right! Kinda like this Beta bullshit! Now after I sign in I have to sign in again using my Google account. Kenny says, "Well, did you go to your e-mail and confirm it?" No! So I go to MY e-mail and confirm it and it shows its been confirmed and has a link I can press to check it out. BUT when I go to check it out it shows Kenny's e-mail address. WTF?!? It was sent to my e-mail so why is it showing Kenny's? So I guess from now on I have to sign in twice! How annoying!!

I know there are other things that have not done right for me and I'm talking non complicated shit like what I said above that should be so fuckin' easy to do, but I can't remember at the moment. Unlike my Chinese Zodiac Year: Monkey; that says I have an EXCELLENT memory :D If you wanna check out your Zodiac click here bastid!

Diet

So I think this title sums up this post. DIET!! I need to be the biggest loser...well not really I don't have that much to lose, but I could stand to lose 30 #'s. Yesterday I bought a bunch of fruits and vegetables and was going to start today, but plans change so it will have to start tomorrow.

I'm going to start with the Detox Phase where I can only eat fruits and vegetables with some protein coming from plain yogurt and egg whites. This phase will last for 9 days...9 days people! I hope I can make it. As you know I was suppose to start today, but I had a slice of chocolate cake. Dammit I can't even go without cake on the FIRST day. I talked myself into eating it by saying I just made this cake yesterday and it's the last slice so I can't just throw it out. Right? After I eat it it will be gone!

I've been telling myself everyday for like 6 mths. "Tomorrow you need to start your diet." And I just don't, how lazy is that? I need a motivator! I've tried to get my husband to help me out or go on a diet with me, but he won't. It's hard to not think about eating chocolate when your husbands sitting there shoving a brownie down his throat. I'd just rather it (unhealthy foods) not be in my house so it doesn't tempt me. I think I will be okay if I can just discipline myself and get through these first 9 days.

Pinup girl

(click for larger image)

Okay so this is my first post. Please look past my punctuation and grammar I am not an English major. I probably won't post very much unless I'm in the mood. So for this first post I am posting one of my most recent sketches that I did off of one of my shirts. I used left over vellum paper from my interior design class so in the close ups where the pencil is the darkest the paper has wrinkled...so it's not perfect.
